Therapy for Wild, Sensitive, Brilliant Kids

Not every child thrives sitting on a couch and explaining their feelings.

Some need to move.
Some need to build.
Some need to draw, imagine, play, or create to share their story.

This is therapy that meets them there.

Wild Crescent Therapy Studio offers creative, neurodivergent-affirming therapy for kids and teens in Denver.

Support for ADHD, autism, highly sensitive, and differently-wired children.

Does your child need something different? Let's talk.

For Kids Who Don’t Fit the Box

Maybe your child is:

  • Bright and creative, but overwhelmed by school

  • Hard on themselves when things aren’t “just right”

  • Constantly in motion — or frequently shut down

  • Easily dysregulated by noise, textures, or changes in routines

  • Deeply sensitive to social dynamics and rejection

  • Quirky and imaginative, yet struggles with friendships

  • Full of big emotions and prone to meltdowns

  • Holding it together all day, then falling apart at home

Or maybe you just know:

→ Something about traditional therapy doesn’t feel like the right fit.
→ You’re not looking for behavior charts or generic coping worksheets.

You’re looking for someone who sees your child as a whole human—

not a problem to fix.

Therapy You Don't Have to Sit Still For

At Wild Crescent Therapy Studio, I offer creative therapy beyond traditional talk, using expressive arts and play-inspired approaches designed specifically for neurodivergent, highly sensitive, and differently-wired kids.

We might use:

  • Art and visual storytelling

  • Sandtray and imaginative worlds

  • Role play and character work

  • Movement and music

  • Mindfulness and body awareness

  • Consistent opening and closing routines

Support for ADHD, Autism,+ Highly Sensitive Kids

Some of the ways my clients are neurodiverse:

  • ADHD

  • Autism

  • Sensory Processing Challenges

  • Dyslexia or other Diverse Learning Profiles

  • Gifted and Talented / Twice-Exceptional

  • Demand Avoidant or "ODD"

  • Highly Sensitive

  • Creative + Artistic

Whether formally diagnosed or simply navigating a differently-wired nervous system, your child deserves care that is affirming of their unique strengths and challenges.

Less Stress. More Joy.

No one starts a family thinking:

It's too easy to be on time. I wish I lived with another human who won't wear shoesand takes 7 minutes to buckle their seatbelt.

OR

After a long day at work, I'd love to get yelled when I ask someone about their day  then force them to do math problems in a long, complicated way.

I get it. Life with a differently-wired brain is a mix of brilliant gifts and deeply exhausting Tuesday afternoons. I’m here to help lower the volume.

Together we work toward:

Emotional Regulation: From meltdowns to manageable moments

Increased Confidence: Finding footing in a world that feels "too loud"

Flexible Coping Tools: Tools for the real world, not just the therapy room

Healthy Peer Relationships: Building connection without masking who they are

School Stress Support: Tackling perfectionism + overwhelm

Stronger Communication: Replacing frustation with understanding

Not by trying to change who they are, but by helping them understand and trust themselves.

Tell me about your child.

Caregiver Support is Woven In

Children don’t exist in isolation.

Caregiver check-ins are built in to the process so you feel supported too — with language, tools, and perspective that honors your child’s wiring and your nervous system.

This is collaborative, relational work.

Movement as Medicine

For some children, regulation and confidence grow through movement.

As both an aerialist and a therapist, I offer aerial circus arts therapy through private sessions and small group workshops at Aerial Cirque Over Denver.

For the right child, physical creativity can become a powerful doorway to regulation, resilience, and self-trust.

I’m not your typical therapist—and you’re probably not looking for one.

I’m here for the parents, the rebels, and the late-bloomers who know there’s more to life than just "getting by."

I’m a mindfulness-based psychotherapist and former teacher with the credentials to back it up (Naropa and Lesley University), but I’m also a parent, an artist, and a seeker.

I don’t believe in "fixing" you. I believe in honoring the multiple truths and unique stories you already carry.

Life is rarely one-dimensional. I specialize in the intersections where identity meets reality:

  • Rejection sensitivity in the classroom.

  • Autistic teens navigating grief and loss.

  • ADHD children adjusting to divorce and remarriage.

  • The sensitive kid defining their own identity.
